During my winter recess from Miami Ad School I drove from Miami through New Orleans to visit my girlfriend, and then up to Chicago for the holidays with my family. Something about being on the road, seeing multiple skylines and watching the weather change as I travel north truly excites me. Seeing my environs change from colorful tropic South Florida to the cold, gray Chicago winter made me think of the disparate kind of beauty that is alive in each setting. I was taking photos along the way on this month-long adventure… And was inspired to process them in black and white and explore the beauty of monotone.
